The Department of Electrical Engineering is one of the newest departments in BBDNIIT, Lucknow, and has a distinguished faculty, most of them holding M. Tech degrees from renowned institutes in India. The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering is dedicated to the current needs of industry with the flexibility to tune its programmes according to different requirements. Application of new technology in various fields is one of the main focuses in the activities of the department.

The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering has been playing a vital role in producing scientists and technologists of highest calibre ever since it was established in the year 2007. The department runs UG program to cater to the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Over the years, power systems, Electrical Machines, Control & Automation, Power electronics, Integrated Electronics, computers and information processing have evolved at dazzling speed, and have permeated to every aspect of life and the society at large.

The department has been playing a pioneering role in producing world class undergraduates. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students and faculty members to learn and innovate. The department has distinguished faculty, mostly holding M. Tech degrees from renowned institutes in India. The faculty of the department has been constantly carrying out research on many cutting edge technologies and regularly publishes in international journal & conferences.
