Introduction |
Welcome to the Electronics and Communication department of BBDNIIT which offers B.Tech
degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, affiliated to G.B. Technical University
(formerly known as U.P. Technical University) and M.Tech degree in Digital Communication,
also affiliated to G.B. Technical University (formerly known as U.P. Technical University) .The
department has the coveted distinction of earning an A grade accreditation from National Board
of Accreditation, (an apex body constituted by AICTE and UGC for appraisal of Technical
Institutes in the Country).
The department has been functioning since the inception of the institution in the year 1999. It has
strived to achieve all-round excellence and endeavors to churn out students who are technically
and ethically sound so as to march to their own beat. The department comprises of dedicated and
competent faculty members supported by well-trained laboratory staff and technicians who cater
to the need for the over-all development of students in academics as well as in other technical
activities. The department can boast of well placed alumni spanning around various segments of
society in leading industry concerns, in academia as well as research organizations.
The department has a rich tradition of teaching and research and is widely recognized to be a benchmark in terms of setting standards. The research interests of the faculty members encompass a wide gamut of sub-disciplines of Electronics Engineering. Collaboration with faculty members from other disciplines, both within and outside the institute, is encouraged. The lab facilities and the infrastructure are regularly upgraded and are well supported by the institute and the industry. There is a sincere effort to collaborate with industry and professional organizations and provide a platform for the students to become industry savvy.

All the labs are well equipped with the most modern electronic and scientific kits. The students are also encouraged to undertake the bread board implementation of Electronic circuits which also help in a better understanding of the electronic components. In addition the department also has taken the responsibility of developing and inculcating the knowledge of simulation tools like MATLAB and VHDL, ORCAD/PSPICE Design Suite, which form an integral part of the contemporary technology.
The department is enabled with round the clock internet connection which is accessible to faculty members as well as students.
To enable the students to have an easy access to the knowledge resource in the form of books, the department also has a departmental library which is in addition to the Central Library of the Institution
